Each summer, the DDTCC hosts a Scottish Dog Show, held in conjunction with the Highlands of Durham Games, in beautiful Elgin Park, in Uxbridge, Ontario. The Scottish Dog show is an exhibition of the thirteen Scottish breeds of dogs. The breeds eligible to participate are the Bearded Collie, Border Collie, Cairn Terrier, Rough Collie, Smooth Collie, Dandie Dinmont Terrier, Golden Retriever, Gordon Setter, Scottish Deerhound, Scottish Terrier, Shetland Sheepdog, Skye Terrier, and West Highland White Terrier.
There are scheduled “shows” several times a day, when all the Scottish breeds enter the big ring and each breed is individually introduced to the public by the announcer. After each show, the various breeds can be found in the breeders’ village that surrounds the show ring. YOU MUST PRE-REGISTER TO PARTICIPATE: Email Janice Fischer
There will be four exhibitions on Saturday, beginning at 10:00 a.m. and we hope to have four on Sunday, beginning at 11:00 a.m.
LIKE LIKE YEAR, there is no THERE IS NO ENTRANCE CHARGE AND NO PARKING CHARGE FOR THE DOG EXHIBITORS. HOWEVER, PLEASE FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY:
Parking in 2010 will again be on the perimeter road around the park, as it was last year. However, the entrance has changed. Enter the main gates located on Main Street (also known as the 7th Concession). Only the dog exhibitors will be allowed through this gate.

If your dog has any special "trick" or talent to entertain the public, please let us know (either by email to Janice Fischer (or at the show) so we can feature your dog.
Individual breeders and clubs are invited to set up their canopies under and around the trees by the exhibition ring to educate the public about their breed. No “For Sale” signs, please, but do use the event as an opportunity to promote your breed and interview potential puppy owners.
